• One of Willi Baumeister’s first purely abstract compositions from his small, early series of works titled “Forms” (1936–1938).
• The floating biomorphic structures show clear parallels to contemporary works by Hans Arp and Alexander Calder.
• Baumeister’s “Form” paintings from 1936 to 1938 are among the key abstract works of the 1930s
