In the late 1970s Otto Piene realized various projects in which huge flower rise into the sky, among them the "Brussels Flower" sky event. Transformation of energies, poetry and art is an integral part of Otto Piene's works, which can also be found in his oeuvre of paintings, where fire and smoke are the transforming means.
