In a letter to Ernst Rathenau, the publisher of the catalog raisonné, Schmidt-Rotluff wrote that he had already made the woodcut in 1919, however, he decided to nevber print it. Only in 1964 he rediscovered the printing block and had it printed by HAP Grieshaber in 1974.
