Lower left signed and dated. On firm creme wove paper. 12 x 18.5 cm (4.7 x 7.2 in) , the full sheet. [CH].
Liebermann presumably made this pastel in Noordwijk aan Zee in preparation of the oil painting "Badende Knaben" (Eberle 1909/10), today in possession of the Kunsthaus Zürich.
Small and appealing pastel study.
