• She was appointed professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich in 2008
• Kneffel's paintings are in important public collections like the Pinakothek der Moderne, München, the Museum Frieder Burda, Baden-Baden, and the Olbricht Collection, Berlin.
• In 2012 and in 2016, the Gagosian Gallery, New York/Los Angeles, hosted solo shows, and the Kunsthalle Bremen showed the grand exhibition "Karin Kneffel. Still" in 2019, while the Franz-Marc-Museum in Kochel showed "Karin Kneffel. Im Bild" until October 2022.
