Signed and dated lower right. 19,5 : 23 cm (7,6 : 9 in). The artist Mevius, who worked mainly as a painter of coastal landscaes, harbours and rivers, studied in Düsseldorf under J. W. Schirmer, where he stays and works as a marine and landscape painter. [UB]

Slight craquelé, stretcher partly showing through. One tiny spot with colour flaking. Margins somewhat scraped, due to the framing. Few small retouched spots.
