Freight steamer of the "Deutsche Levante-Linie", Hamburg (Hapag) with the flag "DLL" on mast and smoke pipe. The Turkish flag on foremast, the German on stern.

Representative captain's picture by the hand of the popular ship portraitist, born in America, he sailed the seas from an early age on and resided in Antwerp in 1884. With the details typical of Mohrmann, he depicts the steamer in nice weather in front of a distant coast line.[UB]
Restored and with some retouchings, three padded spots. Rubbed spots in outer margins due to the framing. Frame.
