[Theatrum machinarum novum, Das ist: Neu-vermehrter Schauplatz der mechanischen Künsten]. Nürnberg, R. J. Helmer 1703.
Eines der wichtigsten Werke zur Entwicklung der modernen Mühlentechnik.
Spätere Ausgabe des 1661 erstmals erschienen Werkes, "handelt im Anschluss an des Octavianus a Strada Architectura civilis (1618-29) von Mühlen und Wassermaschinen, vortreffliche Kupfer, theilweise dem alteren Werke entlehnt und zum Theil von Balthasar Schwan und Eberhard Kiefer .. " (ADB II, 788). "A very curious work indispensable to the historian of engineering, illustrating every variety of Mills, Waterwork, Pumps etc." (Sotheran I, 6284 zur EA). - Die Kupfer zeigen Mühlen verschiedener Art, darunter auch Papier-, Wind- und Ölmühlen, wassergetriebene Maschinen, Hebewerke und eine Feuerspritze beim Einsatz.
EINBAND: Leinenband des 19. Jhs. mit rotem Rückenschild. 35 : 24 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit illustriertem Kupfertitel und 154 Kupfertafeln. - KOLLATION: 4 (st. 5) Bll., 40 S. - ZUSTAND: Fehlt der Drucktitel. Tafeln wenig stock- und fingerfleckig, verso mit altem Bibl.-Stempel (vereinz. leicht durchscheinend) und teils in der oberen rechten Ecke mit kl. Knickspur, Kupfertitel stellenw. beschnitten bzw. in der rechten unteren Ecke mit Fehlstelle bis in die Darstellung, insgesamt komplett aufgelegt. Einband berieben, Leinenbezug leicht wellig.

Later edition of the important work about the mechanics of various kinds of mills, pumps etc., which was first published in 1661. With illustr. engr. title and 154 numb. copperplates. 19th cent. cloth with red label on spine. - Lacking the printed title. Plates only slightly foxed and finger-stained, with old library stamp on verso (occasionally slightly shining through) and partly with slight crease to upper right corner, engr. title trimmed and partly with marginal defect (with loss of illustration), completely laid down. Binding rubbed, cloth covering slightly wavy by glue.(R)
