EINBAND: Goldgeprägter Maroquinband des 17. Jhs. mit Deckelbordüre, Eckfleurons und Wappensupralibros (Bischofswappen, Schild leergelassen) sowie Goldschnitt. Folio. 41 : 27 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit Holzschnitt-Druckermarke auf dem Titel und 17 Textholzschnitten sowie zahlreichen arabesken und figürlichen Holzschnitt-Initialen. - KOLLATION: 10 nn. Bll., 508, 400, 235 S., 103 nn. Bll. - ZUSTAND: Ob. Ecke durchgeh. wasserrandig (tls. stärker), stellenw. leicht stockfl. und gebräunt. Einbd. etw. fleckig und mit restaur. Eck- und Kantenschäden. - PROVENIENZ: Titel mit alten hs. Einträgen (tls. rasiert).

Finely printed Bible edition with printer's device on title, 17 woodcuts in text and numerous arabesque and figured woodcut initials. 17th cent. morocco, boards with gilt border and armorial centre piece (coat-of-arms of a bishop, but neutral as arms not provided), gilt edges. - Upper corner waterstained (stronger at beginning and towards end), binding somewhat stained and with restored defects at edges. Old ownership entries to title.(R)
