Dube L 47. Signed and inscribed "Handdruck". Monogrammed on the stone. One of presumably 5 to 7 hand prints. On firm light gray paper. 40,3 x 33 cm (15,8 x 12,9 in)Sheet: 48 x 40,8 cm (18,8 x 16 in).
"Kirchner ususally treated the stone with feather, brush or [- as it is the case with this work -] chalk. Only few sheets were executed on spirit duplicator copy paper. Together with Erich Heckel, Kirchner developed a method to make the impressions from the drawings on the stone by hand. The complete edition usually was not larger than five to seven copies."
