Karl Otto Götz belongs to the most important representatives of Informel in Germany. He was the first German artist to join the artist group "CoBrA", together with the painters Bernard Schultze, Otto Greis and Heinz Kreutz he established the revolutionary Frankfurt group "Quadriga" in 1952.
Götz` œuvre unites intuition and control. It is through the combination that he creates works a striking as this one, their fascinating effect is based on both the balanced and yet dynamic composition. [KH].
