Lower left signed, erroneously dated "14" and titled. Once more titled on the reverse. On wove paper. 24.5 x 30 cm (9.6 x 11.8 in), the full sheet.

• From the important Berlin days of the "Brücke".
• The drawing was made on the Baltic island of Hiddensee where Erich Heckel and Siddi Riha spent the summer of 1912.
• The same year Heckel used the motif for the painting of the same name (Brücke-Museum Berlin).

The work is registered in the Erich Heckel Estate, Hemmenhofen on Lake Constance. We are grateful to Mrs Renate Ebner and Mr Hans Geissler for the kind support in cataloging this lot.

In good condition. Graphite slightly wiped in places, owing to the nature of the work. Upper right corner with a small loss and the other three corners with tiny pinholes. Left and lower margin irregular.
