With the estate stamp of the Kunstmuseum Basel (Lugt 1570 b) and the hand-written registration number "B Dre/Ab 12". On brownish wove paper. 34.4 x 44.5 cm (13.5 x 17.5 in), size of sheet. With an unfinished drawing on the reverse. [AM].

• Spontaneous drawing with a strong expressiveness.
• Kirchner depicted the so-called "Topflappenviertel" in graphic works and in an oil painting from 1909 (Gordon 104).
