• Very rare. One of just 6 hand-made prints from the second state after the gray of the sky had been intensified.
• Apart from the 6 prints of the second state, only one copy from the first state is known (Kunstmuseum Bern).
• Remarkable perspective with an expressive bent horizon line
• With the satin-finished paper, Kirchner realized a deep and rich black that is unusual for a lithograph.
• In 1913 Kirchner also captured the motif in the famous painting "Küstenlandschaft Fehmarn" (The Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit).
