Contemp. pigskin over strong wooden boards (0,9 cm) on 3 bands with frames of slant iron lines and stamps (blossom in circle, banner 'Maria'); 1 intact brass clasp. Folio. 248 non-numb. ll. Gothic type. 42 lines.
GW 7412. - Hain 14829. - Goff S-585 (under Soccus). - BMC II, 574. - Proctor 2683. - BSB C-517. - Second edition, rare. - One of the earliest prints by the Reutling printer Michael Greyff, father of the famous Lyon printer Sebastian Gryphius. - First 8 ll. rubricated and with simple initials by an old hand. - Waterstaining throughout, upper edge with some moulding, first 3 leaves with backed defective spots to margin (without loss of text), partly few wormholes; first leaf recto and rear pastedown with contemp. inscriptions. Inner front joint loosened, binding partly with minor worming, edges rubbed. Else good copy with broad margins.
